Sweetwater Coffeehouse (Sweetwater) is and has been a successful business for over fifteen years. The brainchild of Eric and Anna Anderson, Sweetwater was purchased by Carolyn Hayes in December of 2008. Carolyn and her son Zach have strived to build on the place and service that Sweetwater has become to the community.
Sweetwater is committed to carrying top quality products at affordable prices. Fair Trade Certified and organically grown coffees, teas and chocolates top the list of products offered. Baked goods are from the Sweetwater kitchen and from local bakers.
Specialty coffees and teas; locally made pottery, jewelry, pickles, honey, and wooden items; Sweetwater logo t-shirts and hoodies; Fair Trade Certified baskets and purses can be found at Sweetwater. Local artists honor Sweetwater by hanging their work here.
Sweetwater owes much of it’s success to its location on Highway 17 very near where 17 intersects with Highway 255 at the Old Sautee Store.
The Sautee-Nacoochee Community Center is located less than a mile down Hwy 255.
Sautee is quickly becoming a destination as it adds specialty shops featuring products that cannot be found just anywhere. Sweetwater is proud to be a part of the Sautee business and cultural community.
Sweetwater is very aware that the support it has received over the years from the Sautee community, and from customers in North Georgia and beyond has made Sweetwater what it is. Sweetwater has become a home away from home for many. Carolyn and Zach strive to continue to provide that place for those folks, as well as those to come.
